Romanian born real estate mogul Yitzchak Tessler heads a team of powerful and innovative individuals as CEO of Tessler Developments LLC. Tessler Developments, a New York City-based company, specializes in the creation of innovative, luxury buildings. The impressive 240 Park Avenue South building and The Textile Building are examples of some of the popular work completed by Tessler Developments.
Prior to entering the world of real estate, Mr. Tessler worked as a diamond wholesaler through Y&M Diamond Trading Co., Inc. and Transvaal Diamonds. Tessler was also the President of both companies, which were highly successful; Transvaal Diamonds was in fact the biggest diamond manufacturer in the world for two consecutive years. Currently Yitzchak Tessler has moved away from the diamond industry in favor of real estate development.
Tessler Developments is involved in a number of different project types; Yitzchak Tessler has been behind the development of multiple businesses, condominiums, and educational facilities. Mr. Tessler has been behind the creation of three separate, highly successful school developments in two different countries, including South Africa. Currently Mr. Tessler owns both Tessler Developments and WBB Construction, Inc.
Yitzchak Tessler resides in New York City with his wife. His adult children live all over the country and work in areas as varied as jewelry, non-profit, and real estate. Yitzchak Tessler participates in various hobbies when he is away from the office, such as sailing, cycling, and reading books of numerous genres. Yitzchak Tessler also supports the more than 200-year-old charity organization Colel Chabad, which provides public assistance services to Israel's poorest citizens and communities.
