A member of International Freelance Writers Organization, She is currently working on her second book which is a compilation of short stories called “Vertical Slices of Life.” Taking Barbara Kingsolver’s adage to heart, “if you want a slice of life, look out the window. An artist has to look out that window, isolate one or two suggestive things, and embroider them together with poetry and fabrication, to create a revelation,” she hopes to capture the ironies and lessons of life in these vignettes that provide a glimpse into selected moments in people’s lives.
She has also completed her first novel "Price of Freedom", an unforgettable semi-autobiographical story depicting a chain of events that eventually ends in the aftermath of discovery of underlying secrets, betrayal, and loss of innocence when a Vietnamese family seek political asylum in the United States after the fall of South Vietnam. They would not all take the same path, but each of them lost something more than just their home. This book is about their journey dealing their own personal cost for freedom while struggling to be accepted in a country still coming to terms with its first lost War.
