The main advantage of the immediate denture is that they are just available after the teeth removal treatment process but one of its main disadvantages is that it requires more adjustment to size time and again as size of bones and gums vary during the healing process. On the other hand as the conventional denture doesn’t have this adjustment problem but the disadvantage is that they become available after 8-12 week time till after the teeth removal treatment because bones and gums require the above mentioned time to be completely healed so that they can be put over them.

Partial dentures which are sometimes called the bridge have auxiliary teeth attached to a plastic base usually colored pink. These types of dentures are used even when there are one or more regular teeth remaining in the lower or upper jaw.
