About Writers Relief

For nearly 20 years, Writer's Relief has helped authors of fiction and nonfiction submit their creative writing for publication (poetry, short prose, and books). Their experienced staff helps eliminate much of the stress involved in finding a publisher. Their diligent and personalized market research helps authors discern which literary journals and/or literary agents are best for a specific manuscript or submission.

Authors dedicate countless hours to developing lists of potential literary agents and journals, but Writer's Relief allows its writer-clients to focus on the creative side of writing rather than the business side. Based in New Jersey, the company welcomes poetry, short stories, personal essays, novels, and nonfiction books.

Writers who are interested in joining Writer's Relief must first apply to the Review Board so that the company can ascertain if the writing is strong. Consideration is free. To submit material to Writer's Relief, log onto www.WritersRelief.com. The "Submission Guidelines" page details how to submit creative writing samples online. It also outlines Writer's Relief's submission requirements. For example: Poets must submit 10 to 12 unpublished poems along with a biography, while novelists must submit a synopsis, the first 15 pages of the manuscript, and a biography.

After the Writer's Relief Review Board looks over the submission, the author will be informed whether he or she was accepted into the Full Service program. Normally, up to 80% of applicants are rejected.

Writers who are not a good fit for the intensive and comprehensive partnership that is the Full Service program are welcome to look into the A La Carte Services, which are available to all writers.

Visitors to the website can learn more about Writer's Relief and its history. Their FAQ page explains how writers may become acquainted with Writer's Relief. Writer's Relief also offers free publishing leads and submission tips to email subscribers. The company is active on many popular social networks, where friends and fans of Writer's Relief get together to talk about all things related to creative writing.
