The privately-held Bank began with a single branch in Houston, Texas, and now has locations in 17 states stretching across the Eastern, Southern, and Midwest United States. Presented in three modules, the course teaches banking fundamentals, including taking advantage of what banks offer, understanding check processing, and learning about debit cards.

In coordination with the FDIC, Woodforest National Bank also offers classroom courses designed to provide individuals with financial education. The FDIC’s national financial curriculum, the “Money Smart” program, has helped over 2.5 million people in just over 10 years. This financial education program’s intent is to guide individuals toward healthy savings and buying choices.
