William W. Lange

Founded more than three decades ago, William W. Lange’s LFC Group of Companies is located in Orange County, California, on a site which formerly served as a buffalo tourist attraction. In 1986, William W. Lange reintroduced a bison herd, which once again appealed to visitors and entertained building tenants. Later on, the complex, at the time named for William W. Lange, was redeveloped, the barn relocated and declared a historical site, and the bison donated to the Discovery Museum of Orange County, now known as the Centennial Heritage Museum. William W. Lange leads the LFC Group as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, and the enterprise offers online auctions as an alternative for those in commercial and residential real estate, from builders to investors. The LFC Group has served many Fortune 500 companies, as well as financial institutions, real estate investors, property developers, and government entities. Under William W. Lange's direction, LFC Group has sold more than $5 billion worth of commercial, undeveloped, residential, and industrial properties. Starting out conducting live outcry auctions, William W. Lange and his firm have since refocused their approach on online auctions, which serve as a more efficient way to sell real estate because more properties may be sold through one event. Mr. Lange’s company created a series of websites, including LFC.com, established in 1995; BigBidder.com; and FRE.com, launched in 2005. The websites have since been folded into FRE.com, the Freedom Realty Exchange, which specializes in individual properties and large-volume residential inventories, in addition to assisting lenders, investors, developers, and builders reducing their inventories in a challenging housing market. Clients of William W. Lange and the Group have included Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc.; Hyatt Corporation; Orange County government; and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. In 2007, his company sold many millions of dollars worth of property worldwide.
