About Weikai Chang

Weikai Chang (sometimes spelled Wei Kai Chang) from San Carlos, California, is a rather mysterious being in the professional poker scene. Although he's been playing quite a lot of tournaments since he started playing poker, a little over two years ago, and even managed to win cash in many of these tournaments, Weikai Chang is still anonymous in the public's eye, and not much is known about him, if at all.

Weikai Chang had a grand start in the live professional poker scene, as he managed to take the 2nd place and a winning of $207,100 on the first live tournament he had ever won cash in. Not only was it a good starting point for Weikai Chang, but it was also his second largest winning so far. All that happened on March 7th, 2006, at the Harra's Rincon Poker Tournament – a WSOP Circuit event, at the No Limit Hold'em Championship.

The next tournament Weikai Chang won cash in was the 37th Annual WSOP No Limit Hold'em Chanpionship final, on August 10th, 2006. Although he only got the 40th place in that tournament, Weikai Chang took home his largest winning ever yet, $247,399. Now that he more than doubled his winnings, he could focus more and more on live tournaments and dedicate his time to playing them and making the good cash flow in.

2007 was a rather busy year for Weikai Chang, who participated in many live professional poker tournaments of all sorts and made cash in seven of them. Indeed, he made some nice amounts of money that year, but only 2008 brought him back to the list of 6-figures winning poker players.

On February 28th, 2008, Weikai Chang played the WPT Season 6 No Limit Hold'em Championship that took part at the LA Poker Classic events of the WPT. He only made it to the 7th place, but on that tournament Weikai Chang proved he still had it in him, and won the respectable sum of $172,370 – his third largest winning yet.

Weikai Chang participated in a few more tournaments in 2008, the last of which (so far) was the 39th WSOP No Limit Hold'em Championship. There he reached the 265th place, with a winning of $35,383. Not too shabby indeed, but we get the feeling we'll hear much more about Weikai Chang in the near future.
