About Warren Lasch
Warren Lasch is the former Chairman of The Friends of the Hunley organization, a group dedicated to preserving one of South Carolina's military and historic gems. From 1996 to 2005, Warren Lasch led The Friends of the Hunley in the group's efforts to raise and restore the first submarine used to sink an enemy ship in combat. After the H.L. Hunley was discovered on the floor of Charleston harbor in 1995, the Friends of the Hunley was formed to help fund the preservation and restoration of a unique piece of Southern and maritime history. Warren Lasch was widely lauded for his work with The Friends of the Hunley. He received an honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, as well as the Order of the Palmetto, South Carolina's highest civilian award.
Currently Vice-Chairman of Precision Motor Transport Group, LLC, Warren Lasch previously led the company as President from 1991-2008. During that period, Warren Lasch revolutionized the transport industry by introducing the notion of fully enclosed automobile transport. He advanced the industry by growing a nascent network of contract and specialized motor carriers from the ground up. In his work to promote enclosed automobile transport, Warren Lasch formed two auxiliary enterprises, Bavarian Motor Transport and Tri-Star Transport. Bavarian Motor Transport and Tri-Star Transport were oriented toward separate manufacturers, BMW and Mercedes-Benz, respectively. During his time with Precision Motor Transport Group, LLC, Warren Lasch increased the firm's revenues over twentyfold.
Warren Lasch's favorite leisure activities outside the office are golfing, traveling, exercising, and reading. Mr. Lasch currently resides in South Carolina.
