About Me

A student athlete at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Walker Heffron is working toward a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in computer science emphasis in computational science. Throughout college, he has maintained a high GPA by balancing his educational and social responsibilities. Walker Heffron has been part of the starting line up for the Wofford Division I Men’s Tennis Team since entering as a freshmen and is a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, where he has served as the social chair and alumni relations chair.

In recognition of his academic excellence, Walker Heffron received the Southern Conference Commissioner’s Medal for the 2011-2012, 2012-2013, and 2013-2014 academic years. He has also been named a Palmetto Fellow and Wofford Old Main Scholar. Moreover, he has been cited not only in Wofford College’s Dean’s List each semester since entering Wofford, but also in the Southern Conference Honor Roll. Selected by the faculty at Wofford College he served as Chief Graduation Marshall for Commencement 2014. 

Academics aside, Walker Heffron is active within his community. He is a member of All Saints Lutheran Church; his volunteer service includes work as a tennis instructor and work for Habitat for Humanity. He is the 2011 recipient of the Laura Hoke Skatell Community Service Award.
