Viraj Vilas Kadbe is a professional cricketer who was born on November 18, 1989 in Nagpur, India. He is an all-rounder, who bowls leg-break and is also a handy right-hand batsman. He was selected for the national squad for the Under 19 Cricket World Cup held in Malaysia.
On March 1, 2008, Viraj Vilas Kadbe made his debut for the Vidarbha List A side in a 50-over Vijay Hazare Trophy - Central Zone match against Rajasthan at Kamla Club Sports Ground, Kanpur. In his debut match, his disciplined bowling earned him the wicket of Nikhil Doru, and he finished with the figure of 1/37 from his seven overs. Viraj Vilas Kadbe was a member of the team that played the second semi-final against Saurashtra at the Andhra Cricket Association-Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association Stadium, Visakhapatnam, on April 8, 2008. In this game, he scalped the wickets of Chirag Pathak and Jaydev Shah and finished with two for thirty six from eight overs at an economy rate 4.50, his personal best bowling figure till date. As of 2008, he has taken a total of five wickets from four matches at an economy rate of 4.70 in his List A career. Viraj Vilas Kadbe has also scored 48 runs from four matches at a strike rate of 82.75.
In 2008, Viraj Vilas Kadbe signed with the Indian Premier League (IPL) side Chennai Super Kings and was a member of the squad that finished as runners-up in the tournament.
