Vincent Pericard is a professional football player who was born on October 3, 1982 in Efko, Cameroon.


In August 2005, Vincent Pericard was selected for Cameroon national team and attented the training camp for a friendly match against Villemomble, a French amateur team.


Vincent Pericard began his professional football career with the French football club St Etienne in 1999. In the following year, he moved to the Italian football club Juventus and was a part of the side for a couple of years. His impressive performance for this club in a Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League game against Arsenal earned him a season long loan deal with the English Premier League side Portsmouth in 2002.


He had a spectacular start for this club by scoring in his debut game, which helped his side to a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest. This striker had an impressive first season with the club by scoring 9 goals from the 32 games he played for Portsmouth and was rewarded with a new contract in July 2003 that made his loan deal permanent. During his first season at the club, Vincent Pericard was a member of the squad that won the Division One title.


Though Vincent Pericard began the 2003-04 as a regular player, he could play only in 7 games due to an injury sustained in September. During the 2005-06 season, he spent brief loan spells at Sheffield United and Plymouth Argyle. On February 18, 2006, he scored his first hat-trick for Plymouth Argyle in a 3–1 win over Coventry City. During his stint at this club, he played 15 games for Plymouth Argyle and scored 4 goals to his credit.


In May 2006 Vincent Pericard was recalled to Portsmouth side, but he moved to Stoke City on a three-year contract on June 19, 2006. On his first home appearance for this club, he made an impressive start by scoring against Derby. On March 14, 2008, he signed a loan deal with Southampton.
