Since 2011, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash has served as Medical Director of Younger By Design, a clinic specializing in anti-aging procedures and functional medicine, and as a General Practitioner at Marsden Medical Practice in Auckland, New Zealand. As a part-time General Practitioner, Dr. Jayaprakash utilizes his nearly 10 years of medical experience treating a wide variety of family health concerns, including both acute and chronic conditions. Prior to assuming his duties at Younger By Design and Marsden Medical Practice, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash worked as a General Practitioner at The Peoples Centre, a large, inner-city medical practice in New Zealand.

Before immigrating to New Zealand in 2005, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash completed his medical education and training in Great Britain. A student at the University of Southampton School of Medicine, Dr. Jayaprakash received a prize for his work in ophthalmology in 1996 and graduated with his Bachelor of Medicine in 1998. Following graduation, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash began his medical residency at Queen Alexandra Hospital, where he gained training in the renal, oncology, and dermatology departments. He then went on to specialized residency programs in anesthesiology at St. Richard’s Hospital and Worthing Hospital before accepting a position as an Intensive Care Unit Fellow at Queen Alexandra Hospital, where he first began his professional medical training.

Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash completed his secondary education at the Island School in Hong Kong. In his free time, Dr. Jayaprakash enjoys travel, polo, tennis, squash, and sailing. A philanthropically minded individual, Dr. Vikram Jayaprakash has donated to Camp Quality, a family camp designed to bring joy and hope to children and families grappling with the effects of cancer. He has performed community service for Freemasons NZ and volunteers as the New Zealand Chairman of the York Street Body Corporate Committee. Dr. Jayaprakash belongs to Freemasons NZ, The ICEHOUSE, and The Executive Connection (TEC).
