About Vicki Patterson
Scenic Hunterdon County, New Jersey, is the home of RiverPointe Farm, a 64-acre horse facility run by Barn Manager Vicki Patterson. At the farm, she breeds and sells Gypsy Vanner horses, a sturdy and gentle breed that comes from Great Britain. Ms. Patterson works with these short and stocky horses to train them on how to pull loads while also remaining gentle and patient enough for riding. Away from the sounds of the big city, the farm gives her and her husband a relaxing place to care for animals. In addition to horses, RiverPointe Farm also provides a home to 10 dogs, happy and healthy puppies, and numerous sheep; Vicki Patterson cares for these animals, as well.
An experienced breeder, Vicki Patterson has three expectant Gypsy mares in 2011. Some of the mares for sale at the farm include Dolche, Tory, and Carly. Also available for purchase is Cruise, an experienced show horse who enjoys competitions. Videos, photographs, and information about the Gypsy horse and the animals for sale at RiverPointe Farm can be found at OwnAGypsy.com.
During her limited free time, Vicki Patterson enjoys reading mystery novels and having relaxed conversations with friends and visitors.

The Gypsy Horse is a hearty little draft horse which usually stands between 13 and 15.2 hands. Their exceptional stamina allows them to go all day at a steady trot while pulling a loaded living wagon with the whole Gypsy family. They are sturdily built with solid bone and, in order to be a “traditional" they must have a good deal of feathering and hair. The Gypsy horse comes in all colors, with the most common being the "pinto" patterns, piebald and skewbald. Although they have been bred for a particular type for generations, they are originally descended from several draft horse and pony breeds, namely the Shire and Clydesdale along with Dales, Fell, and other native British breeds. If you are looking for a horse that is known for soundness and sanity, that will be a faithful companion to your family, and is incredibly versatile, the traditional Gypsy Horse may just be the perfect horse for you! Their compact size and sturdy build makes them incredibly strong animals, capable of carrying and pulling a great deal more weight that a light horse of similar height. They have proved to excel at every discipline imaginable in the equine world, from competitive driving to dressage and western sports! The traditions of the Gypsies and the magical persona of these incredibly family oriented horses make for the perfect “horse for all seasons”. From BSGSH
Here at RiverPointe Gypsies we breed in the gypsy tradition, to preserve the magical traits that we have come to respect and prize in these horses. Please browse our site and enjoy!
