About Vance Chevon
I am keen on Europe, and especially Spain. Some European countries introduced the simplest national flags hoisted on state flag poles for sale and such during the last two hundred years. These flags are composed of livery colors arranged in two or three horizontal stripes. In most cases the upper stripe is in the color of the heraldic charge, while the lower stripe displays the color of the shield. The reverse in fact was the case in Austria.
The Libyan national flag is likely the most simply designed flag on earth! Featuring one single color and no other elements, this banner has been hoisted on Libyan flag poles for sale and similar objects for years. With the ongoing revolution and the current political climate I would not be surprised that changes to the national flag's design are imminent.
From the year 1785 to 1931, and since the year 1936, the colors of the Spanish ensigns have been mainly colored red and yellow. Also called the armorial colors of Castile, Aragon, Catalonia and Navarre. The Spanish republican colors that were used from '31 through '39 were colored red, yellow and purple. The latter being the color of the lion in the so-called arms of Leon.
The arms of Spain have always displayed the quarters representing the "arms of dominion" of its sovereigns, starting with the castle of Castile, the lion of Leon and the red colored stripes of Aragon.
The so-called armorial flag of the regional community of Aragon also has a long fascinating history. Some of the elements used in the design of this regional flag date back to the thirteen hundreds. This flag features five yellow colored horizontal stripes and four red colored horizontal stripes. In the center the regional arms if displayed, featuring the emblem of the kingdom of Sobrarbe, and some other elements.
One of my favorite vacation destinations of the last was in fact Spain. I spent many summers on the southern coast, or the Costa del Sol, of this incredible country. Some of the cities that are located along the Costa del Sol are Malaga, Estepona and Marbella. This area is a popular tourist region to many folks from different parts of the world.
I have yet to visit Madrid, which is the capital of kingdom of Spain. Spain offers an exciting and wonderful experience to those seeking vacations of all kinds. When the recession hit the E.U. and the rest of the world some years ago, Spanish tourism dipped as a result. It is my understanding that tourism is starting to pick up, which is a good thing for the Spanish economy. My guess is that Spaniards take pride and find comfort in their national flag, which is hoisted so beautifully from Spanish flag poles for sale and such in our day.
