About Unnikrishnan Namboodiri
Unni was a professional Indian cricketer, who was born on June 26, 1974 in Kerala, India. Nicknamed "Unni" in the cricket circle, he is a right-handed middle-order batsman, who occasionally bowls right-arm off break. He idolizes the West Indian cricketer, Viv Richards, for his batting style and confidence on the crease.
Unni was selected to be a member of the Kerala team to play in the Ranji Trophy season of 1992-93. His last match of the season was against Goa in the same year.
Apart from playing cricket, Unni enjoys simple things in life and avoids complications. Had it not been cricket, he would have followed the footsteps of his father to serve the Indian Civil Aviation.
Today Unni has left cricket behind and headed straight into the IT industry and working with Industry greats and serving Ensim Corporation. He carries the same ethics in life and continues to march from good to excellence.
