Two Worlds United opens students’ horizons to the 21st century global village. Lessons learned through sharing daily life with a host family abroad provide invaluable and unforgettable experiences. Boasting a diverse range of destinations, Two Worlds United dispatches students to such countries as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Denmark, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Rumania, Russia, and South Africa. Two Worlds United offers a flexible range of exchange opportunities. Students engaged in Two Worlds United programs attend local public high schools in their host countries. Many of the Two Worlds United programs offer an individualized course of studies focused on intensive language development. Program options include summer sessions, trimesters, and semesters, as well as full-year. Experiential skills students acquire through Two Worlds United programs help to prepare them in all endeavors, including subsequent academic and professional careers. Participants return with new levels of self-confidence and critical-thinking skills. All host families associated with Two Worlds United undergo a careful screening process to ensure a good fit with each prospective candidate. Additionally, a local, on-call coordinator provides each student with support and assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Two Worlds United is accessible to high school students between 15 and 18 years of age. Applicants must have a 2.75 GPA or above,have parental consent and financial support, and pass a personal interview process. Successful candidates for Two Worlds United programs should demonstrate a high level of maturity and the ability to adapt to new environments.
