About Troy Rodman
Troy Rodman - Professional Summary:
An alumnus of The University of Kansas, Troy Rodman earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design with a focus on Marketing and Economics. After graduating in 1985, Troy Rodman joined Handelan-Pederson, Inc., a graphic design firm in Chicago, where he served as Industrial Designer and Project Manager. Between 1986 and 1989, Troy Rodman held the same position for Source, Inc., a design company that generated over $3 million in annual billing fees. In addition to spearheading marketing projects for major clients, including Sears and Ace Hardware Corporation, Troy Rodman created packaging programs for the well-known brands Oscar Mayer Lunchables and Aunt Jemima. In his role with USG Interiors, Inc., a subsidiary of USG Corporation that sells insulation products, Troy Rodman held the title of Senior Product Designer. Troy Rodman oversaw all aspects of sales and marketing, presenting to clients, designing products, and coordinating with merchants and consultants. During his four-year tenure, Troy Rodman generated new business with McDonald’s Corporation, supervised development for Buick Corporation’s ceiling system, and designed the company showroom. Currently an Industrial Design Manager for Sears Holdings Corporation in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Troy Rodman has thrived with the firm for the last 17 years. In charge of design strategies for Craftsman tools and Kenmore home appliances, Troy Rodman oversees design for Sears private label brands, which generate over $14 billion in annual revenue. Throughout the course of his employment, Troy Rodman has received significant praise for his design work on the Kenmore Elite front-load laundry system, setting a new industry standard. Immersed within his industry, Troy Rodman has participated in multiple professional associations. Troy Rodman belongs to Color Marketing Group and Industrial Designers Society of America, serving as Vice Chair. Over the years, Troy Rodman has presented on industrial design at various institutions of higher education, including Purdue University, Columbia College Chicago, and Illinois Institute of Technology.

Industrial Design Manager, Kenmore Brand Studio. Responsible for Kenmore and Kenmore Elite brand design.
Create and implement the brand design strategies for both front load and top load laundry categories. Manage all domestic and international vendor product design staff and utside design consultants to ensure the implementation of these brand strategies.
The introduction of the new Kenmore Elite front load laundry successfully changed the laundry category paradiam. The "glossy" new square door with smooth touch controls create a whole new spin to laundry.
Technology, Lifestyle, color and design trend forcasting. This is accomplished through design trend shows and trade fairs both domestically and internationally
