About Tracie Rampley
Summary
As founder and owner of Hair and Home Design by Tracie, Tracie Rampley utilizes her 20 years of experience as a hair stylist and beauty aide to provide custom designs for her clients. A dedicated philanthropist, Rampley offers haircuts free-of-charge in her salon for those willing to donate their hair to Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces for disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical conditions and subsequent hair loss.
Tracie Rampley also provides interior design consultation for friends and family, and is a devotee of fashion. At the 45th Anniversary of the Atlanta Steeplechase, a day of thoroughbred races renowned for its fashion tradition, Rampley received third place in the Annual Beautiful Hat Contest. She has designed a line of apparel featuring her trademarked phrase, “Can’t build on bad,” an expression of her belief that nothing in life can be built on a bad foundation and stand the test of time. CBOB clothing is sold through Facebook.
A devoted mother of two, Tracie Rampley actively supports her son’s athletic interest in lacrosse. On behalf of her daughter, she advocates umbilical stem cell research for the treatment of lupus. As a member of the Georgia chapter of the Lupus Foundation, Rampley traveled to Washington, D.C., in 2010 to speak out for the funding of lupus research and public awareness. In addition, she has served on the Lupus Walk Atlanta committee and the committee for A Night of Hope, a fundraising event that supports the only statewide programs and awareness efforts representing the 55,000+ citizens of Georgia afflicted with lupus.
