Traci Bliss currently serves as a docent at Henry Cowell Redwood State Park. In addition, she is the president of the History Forum for the Santa Cruz Museum of Art & History(MAH) where she formerly served as co-president of the Board of Trustees. Working alongside her colleague Randall Brown, Traci Bliss contributed three chapters to the 2014 MAH History Journal, which is titled Redwood Logging and Conservation in the Santa Cruz Mountains - A Split History. She has a particular interest in the contributions of women to the history of Big Basin Redwoods State Park.
In addition to her work in the Santa Cruz area, Traci Bliss is an emerita professor at the Idaho State University College of Education, where she focused on educational reform and supported quality teacher education. She received a doctor of philosophy, master of arts, and bachelor of arts from Stanford University, and a master of public administration from the Lyndon B. Johnson School at the University of Texas.
