Tommy Le, a professional poker player from Huntington Beach, California, United States, was born in Orange County in Southern California. Poker profession seems to runs in his blood, since his elder brother, Nam Le is a World Poker Tour (WPT) champion and a very successful poker pro. Tommy Le played online until he saw his brother and close friends JC Tran, Steve Sung, and Nam Le create a ripple in live tournaments. Soon, he too entered the live tournament circuit, but is still a regular on online sites. He is also known as Tommy Legend and his excellent track record in poker substantiates this nickname.


Tommy Le entered the live tournament circuit in 2005, when he appeared in the Holiday Bonus Tournament held at the Commerce Casino. He took part in Event #13 – No-Limit Hold'em, competed in a field of 380 entrants, and made a decent finish. Then, in 2007, Tommy Le made his WSOP appearance by participating in the 38th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP). In Event #55 – No-Limit Hold'em Championship, he earned handsome prize money worth $106,382 for his respectable finish. Later in the same year, Tommy Le played competently in the No-Limit Hod’em event of the Legends of Poker/WPT Event Season 6. He defeated a pool of 913 event entrants to enter the final table against Harvey Scholl. After an exhaustive heads-up play, Tommy Le finished second and earned prize money worth $35,915 from $265,683 prize pool.

Tommy Le entered the Five Star World Classic Poker Classic/WPT World Championship-Season 6 in 2008. He participated in Event #15 - No-Limit Hold'em Championship at the Bellagio, Las Vegas. The event had 545 entrants contributing to a prize pool of $13,216,250, in which Tommy Le finished fifth. For his admirable play, $395,725 in prize money was added to his bankroll.

After his commendable performance at the final table of Event #15 - No-Limit Hold'em Championship of the Five Star World Classic Poker Classic/WPT World Championship-Season 6, Tommy Le has joined his close-knit group of friends in an elite group of players who have made WPT final tables. Tommy Le has made total tournament winnings worth $538,462 in just 4 cashes.
