Tomer Benvenisti is an American professional poker player of Israeli origin from Las Vegas, Nevada. He burst onto the poker scene at the 34th World Series of Poker in May 2003, his first major live tournament performance. Competing in the $10,000 World Championship Event with 837 entrants, all vying for a chunk of the $7.8 million prize pool, Benvenisti put in an impressive performance, playing well enough to book a place at the final table. Sharing the table with the likes of poker legend Chris Moneymaker, Benvenisti finished in 5th place and took home $320,000, his biggest tournament cash yet.
In 2004, Tomer Benvenisti returned to the World Series of Poker in its 35th edition, but failed to reach dizzy heights like the previous year. In the $10,000 World Championship Event, where he finished 5th in 2003, Benvenisti finished a disappointing 190th and came away with earnings of $10,000.
Benvenisti put in a few other steady performances in 2004, including a 3rd place finish in the $500 No Limit Hold'em event at a Bellagio Weekly Tournaments and a 4th place finish in the $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event at the Festa al Lago III Poker Tournament in Las Vegas. Combining these performances with a handful of other in-the-money finishes, Tomer Benvenisti finished the year with earnings of $43,330.
After a 5th place finish in the $500 No Limit Hold'em event at a Bellagio Weekly Tournament in January 2005, Benvenisti headed to the 36th World Series of Poker in June. In 2008, Benvenisti participated in two events at the Caesars Palace Tournament on the World Series of Poker circuit, finishing 24th in the $1,060 buy-in No Limit Hold'em event and 10th in the $550 No Limit Hold'em event with total earnings of $3,609. With this cash, Tomer Benvenisti took his total career earnings to $380,702.
