Timothy “Tim” Shields is a certified public accountant who earned his master of business administration (MBA) from Stanford University. Prior to enrolling at Stanford, he received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. His studies at the school focused on areas of finance and accounting. Since completing his MBA, Timothy Shields has spent more than 10 years serving in various positions with UBS in Chicago.
In 2010, he occupied the role of chief of staff to the company’s chief information officer (CIO). He achieved this position based on the success of a variety of major programs he led and for his reputation as an effective communicator and task coordinator. As chief of staff, Timothy Shields assisted the CIO in identifying organizational goals and communicating those goals to the entire information technology staff. More recently, he has served UBS in the sphere of program and program portfolio management.
When he is not working, Tim Shields enjoys reading. He is especially interested in the works of Scandinavian crime fiction authors such as Arnuldur Indridason, Henning Mankell, and Jo Nesbo. He also spends time following various Philadelphia sports teams, including the Eagles and the Phillies.
