Thomas Kosmo - Professional Summary


Thomas Kosmo leads The Mentor Group as its president and founder. The Mentor Group promotes research and scholarly intercourse concerning the role of justice in international business affairs. Over Thomas Kosmo's tenure, the organization has a created a number of ongoing and influential events, including the Forum for EU-US Legal-Economic Affairs, the Symposium on Statecraft and the Armed Forces, and the Seminar for the European Union Judiciaries. The latter event, founded in 2005, brings together European Union national court judges with their American counterparts.

Before starting The Mentor Group in 1983, Thomas Kosmo served in the Armed Forces of the United States during the Vietnam War. Following his training at Fort Holabird, Maryland, he was deployed to Vietnam, where he remained until November 15th, 1971, when the military discharged him honorably with the rank of 1st lieutenant.

Thomas Kosmo earned his doctorate in Ancient Greek from the University of Edinburgh Scotland in 1977. While there, he authored a dissertation titled, "Pindar as a Poet of Religion: A Study of the Role of Apollo in Selected Pythians." He also holds a bachelor of arts from Bowdoin College.
