Thomas Hare is a professional poker player from Haverford, Pennsylvania. Although he’s only picked up a handful of live tournament cashes, his performance at the Borgata Winter Open in January 2008 forced the poker world to sit up and take notice. In just three tournament cashes, Hare has raked in earnings of $ 388,400.
Thomas Hare picked up his first major tournament cash at the Trump Classic in Atlantic City in December 2006. Competing with 135 other entrants for a share in the $136,000 prize pool, Hare took 8th place and with it earnings of $2,720.
Hare then tried his hand in the $250,000 Guaranteed Poker Tournament held at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City in May 2007. Competing with 756 others in the $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event, Hare finished 18th and took home $4,543 of the $757,000 prize pool.
His most noteworthy performance, however, came at the World Poker Tour’s Borgata Winter Open in January 2008. Competing for a share of the $4,917,900 prize pool with 506 other entrants, Thomas Hare put in a stellar performance to make the final table and eventually finish 3rd. This performance helped Hare notch his biggest tournament cash - a check of $381,137.
