About Theo Blake
Theo Blake serves as a fellow in cardiovascular imaging at Stanford University. Before completing his residency in diagnostic radiology at The University of Western Ontario in 2011, he served as the Chief Resident from 2009 to 2010. Dr. Theo Blake received his Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Science with a double major in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of British Columbia (UBC).
Theo Blake's recent training includes a four-week course at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, and in 2009, he attended the 95th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiologic Society of North America, Inc. (RSNA). At the RSNA's next annual meeting, he presented "Preservation of left atrial function after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation: Observations from a novel CT method." His additional presentations include "A Case of Mistaken Identity; Pseudotumoral Organization of a Twisted Epiploic Fringe Masquerading as a Pelvic Teratoma," given at the sixth annual London Imaging Discovery workshop, and one on acute aortic syndromes for radiology grand rounds at Lions Gate Hospital.
Theo Blake received many accolades throughout his academic career, including a $10,000 award as an undergraduate under the Outstanding Student Initiative at the UBC, where he made the dean's list and was also honored with the PGD Education Foundation Graduate Award, Samuel Diamond Scholarship, and Gwynne-Vaughan Memorial Award in Medicine. Theo Blake's recognitions also include the UBC Department of Surgery Work Study Grant, W.S. Berryman Memorial Award, and Janet Louise Berryman Scholarship in Medicine.
Aside from his academic and professional achievements, Dr. Theo Blake spent time participating in extracurricular activities; while attending the University of British Columbia, he was a member of the BC Touch Football League. In his free time, Theo Blake runs, lifts weights, and plays board games.
