About The National Society of Collegiate Scholars
Since 1994, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars has provided high-achieving students with opportunities to improve their prospects, fine-tune their leadership skills, and enrich their lives. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is an invitation-only society that extends memberships to first and second-year students who maintain positions in the top 20% of their class and who have earned a 3.4 GPA or higher.
The National Society of Collegiate Scholars is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and, as such, channels proceeds toward the funding of the many scholarship, programs, and events that it offers. NSCS awards more undergraduate scholarship dollars per year than any other honor society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars grants well over $250,000 in scholarships per year. The National Society of Collegiate Scholars regularly awards scholarships, such as the Integrity Scholarship, the Scholar Abroad Scholarship, the Exemplary Scholar Award, and the Distinguished Service Award to students who excel in both academic and personal capacities.
In addition to the bevy of scholarships offered, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars offers members the invaluable opportunity to network. Maintaining partnerships with many leading companies and graduate schools, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars often serves as a base for employment and academic recruitment. Among The National Society of Collegiate Scholars' graduate school and corporate partners are Purdue University, Princeton University, Ernst & Young, and the Peace Corps.
Founded on The George Washington University campus, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars currently maintains chapters in over 235 schools across the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico.
