About Tara Strogov
Tara Strogov grew up in New Jersey as the daughter of Bulgarian immigrants. Dedicated to serving the American immigrant community, Tara Strogov works with Literacy Volunteers of America teaching English to immigrants seeking to improve their knowledge of the language. Currently, Tara Strogov works as a teacher for Congregation Agudath Israel, a 90-year old congregation based in Caldwell, New Jersey. Leading a fifth grade Hebrew school class, Tara Strogov instructs her students in both Hebrew and Judaism. A graduate of Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Tara Strogov gained valuable teaching experience as an undergraduate through her participation in Tufts Media Initiative, an underprivileged school education program. At Tufts, Tara Strogov also participated in and contributed to the school’s literary magazine. An active creative writer, Tara Strogov has been published in a number of literary journals and is now working on a collection of poems and short stories.
