About Tara Strogov
Tara Strogov is an author and a dedicated teacher currently instructing a fifth grade Hebrew school class at Congregation Agudath Israel in Caldwell, New Jersey. Tara Strogov graduated from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Arts in English in December 2007 and received Dean’s List honors. At Tufts, Tara Strogov founded the Tufts Media Initiative in which she taught underprivileged children with a group of peers.
In June 2010, Tara Strogov will be marrying Joshua Kipnees, whom she started dating shortly before he enrolled in Harvard Law School. After the wedding, Tara Strogov and Joshua Kipnees will move to Connecticut, where she will continue to teach Hebrew school, as well as serve women and children in need through a local homeless shelter.
The child of Bulgarian immigrants, Tara Strogov works with Literacy Volunteers of America, where she helps immigrants further develop their English language skills. Strong English language skills open countless doors for immigrants, and Tara Strogov desires to help these individuals obtain more opportunities. The summer between high school and college, Tara Strogov traveled to Tsingtao, China, where she took a class on Teaching English as a Foreign Language and led an intensive summer English language course for high school students.
