Tan Suee Chieh - Professional Summary:    Tan Suee Chieh is a graduate of The London School of Economics and Political Science, where he received his undergraduate degree with First Class Honors. Upon earning his Master of Arts in Social-Organizational Psychology from New York’s Columbia University, Tan Suee Chieh embarked on a long and successful career in the corporate world. At Prudential Financial, Inc., he held senior-level positions including Company Actuary of Prudential Assurance Malaysia Berhad, Chief Executive of Prudential Assurance Company Singapore Limited, and Managing Director of the Established Markets of Prudential Corporation Asia. Tan Suee Chieh was also named President of the Asia Pacific Region at the British human resources consultancy firm SHL Group plc.

Today, Tan Suee Chieh serves as Chief Executive Officer of NTUC Income Insurance Co-operative Limited, a prominent Singapore-based firm. He became CEO in February of 2007 and has sat on the Board of Directors since 2003. At NTUC Income, Tan Suee Chieh strives to provide high value for policyholders by incorporating cutting-edge technology into the practices of this leader in the insurance industry and ensuring that the firm’s products remain affordable and easily accessible. A strong believer in giving back to society, Tan Suee Chieh also ensures that NTUC Income contributes generously—approximately $2 million annually—to various charities and causes, including the Moral Home for the Disabled, the Singapore Children’s Society, the Assumption Pathway School, and the Sunshine Project.

Tan Suee Chieh has been named a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society and Institute of Actuaries. Tan Suee Chieh previously served as President of the Actuarial Society of Malaysia and the Life Insurance Association of Singapore. When not working. Tan Suee Chieh makes time to spend with his wife and two children, and study the Chinese language. He also enjoys reading and listening to music, as well as fine wines and haute cuisine.
