Sumit Khatri is a professional cricket player who was born on July 15, 1989 in Jaipur, Rajasthan. He is a left left-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler.
He began his first-class cricket career by playing for the Rajasthan cricket team. On January 10, 2007, Sumit Khatri made his debut for this side in a match against Bengal. In his debut game, he scored forty six runs from both the innings with a strike rate of 41.81. He also scalped the wickets of Subhomoy Das and Sourav Ganguly and finished with the figures of 2/171 with an economy rate 4.62.
