Sudeep Tyagi is a professional Indian cricketer, who was born on September 19, 1987 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He plays as a right-hand batsmen and a right-arm medium pace bowler.
During the 2007-08 Ranji Trophy competition, Sudeep Tyagi gave a stunning performance in his debut match against the Orissa cricket team at the Barabati stadium, Cuttack. It was his first-class debut, in which he took a ten-wicket haul. Sudeep Tyagi ended the Ranji season by taking 41 wickets, becoming the first bowler to secure the maximum number of wickets across two leagues. His brilliant display caught the attention of the Uttar Pradesh captain, Mohammad Kaif, who gave him an opportunity to join the big league following the departure of Shalabh Srivastava, an Indian first-class cricketer to Indian Cricket League (ICL). He made his mark in the domestic cricket by securing nine wickets in a match against Andhra Pradesh and played a crucial role in helping the team to escalate to the Ranji final.
Sudeep Tyagi was selected for the Chennai Super Kings squad of the Indian Premier League (IPL), but an injury kept him back from playing. After recovery, he came back strong again to play for the India A side against Australia A and New Zealand A.
Sudeep Tyagi has also played in the Duleep Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
