After earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Psychology from Vanderbilt University in 1978, Stewart Flink completed his Master of Business Administration at the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and embarked on a 30-plus-year career in finance. In the course of his career, Flink has worked for companies such as Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, and CIBC Oppenheimer. In December 2008, Stewart Flink started Next View Capital, a Chicago-based hedge fund, and its general partner Next View Partners, LLC, where he serves as Managing Member. From January 2009 through July 2011, Next View Capital achieved a cumulative compounded rate of return of 190%. The fund is focused on investments in mining, energy, precious metals, and technology.
Already an active member of the Great Lakes Region of American Associates at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Stewart Flink was recently elected to the organization’s Board of Directors. As a Member of the Board, he will be responsible for fundraising and spreading awareness of the work of the Israeli university throughout the United States. Furthermore, Flink was invited to teach a summer course in the Honors MBA program at Ben-Gurion University in 2012; the course will focus on investment management, hedge funds, and entrepreneurship.
Stewart Flink is highly regarded in the Jewish community of Chicago. He and his wife, Jennifer, are founding members of the college preparatory Chicagoland Jewish High School, where Flink also started an endowment fund.
