Steven Merrifield

Steven Merrifield is a 23-year-old professional poker player, who was born on March 20, 1985 and lives in Fairmont, WV. He graduated from West Virginia University in May 2007 with a degree in finance. Steven had worked as a mountaineer but preferred leaving his job to be a full time poker player. Although he has been concentrating on cash games, last months he began playing in tournaments.

His first participation in one was in the event at Caesars, where he was sitting at the final table and eventually took 7th place. Now Steven Merrifield is ranked 31st by 2008 POY and 191st by Bluff-ESPN Power and his lifetime winnings exceed $583.917.
