About Steve Dingman

Steve Dingman, MD, is a pharmaceutical research physician with particular experience in pharmacovigilance. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina, Steve Dingman currently serves as a Drug Safety Physician in the Global Clinical Safety and Pharmacovigilance department of UCB, Inc.

Dr. Steve Dingman has also worked for SRA International, Inc., as Medical Director and, ultimately, as Senior Director for Medical Affairs and Pharmacovigilance. He also worked for several years for Health Decisions, Inc., in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. There, Steve Dingman worked as a Lead Clinical Research Associate and Medical Monitor/Medical Writer. Prior to that position, he worked as a Clinical Research Associate at Inveresk Research Group Inc. in Cary, North Carolina. In addition, he has held research positions at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine, the Research Triangle Institute, and North Carolina State University Department of Chemistry in Raleigh.

Steve Dingman has more than 60 publications and presentations to his name. His research has appeared in such journals as Osteoporosis International, and he has presented his research at numerous meetings. Most recently, he presented “Pharmacotherapy Strategies in Brain Tumor Management” at the Project Operations Open Forum at the prestigious Constella Group in Research Triangle Park. In addition, he presented a Medical Education Series on “Medical and Surgical Aspects of Traumatic Brain Injury” at Health Decisions, Inc., in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Steve Dingman started out his career in business and finance. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Iowa. He worked briefly at AT&T Midwest Regional Headquarters before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. He returned to school at North Carolina State University where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, graduating summa cum laude. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before completing advanced training in neurosurgery and general surgery.

Steve Dingman, MD, is certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support. He holds memberships in the American Medical Association and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. Steve Dingman has received a National Institutes of Health Research Grant and his work has been funded by the National Institutes on Drug Abuse.
