About Stephen Eric Lawrence
Based in Nassau, Bahamas, Stephen Eric Lawrence balances his career as President of Trinity Company with volunteerism in his local community and charitable giving to organizations and initiatives throughout the Caribbean. In 2005, Mr. Lawrence founded the Lawrence Family Charitable Foundation to focus his philanthropic efforts. Today, he and other members of his family privately fund the Foundation.
The recipient of a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, Stephen Eric Lawrence worked at venture capital firms throughout the mid 1990s before founding his own investment company. His early investments focused on the real estate, finance, and technology sectors. In 2003, he founded the Trinity Company, through which he funds real estate developments and technology-based private equity. Outside of the office, Mr. Lawrence enjoys giving back to his community. In the past, he has donated his time and resources to soup kitchens run by Nassau’s St. Matthew’s Anglican Episcopal Church and Ebenezer Methodist Church. Mr. Lawrence has also supported other charitable initiatives organized by the churches, such as the St. Matthew’s Elder Daycare.
Stephen Eric Lawrence and the Lawrence Family Charitable Foundation have also helped the victims of natural disasters throughout the Caribbean. Mr. Lawrence has financed re-roofing projects for the homes of several of Nassau’s poverty-stricken families, and he donated to hurricane relief funds for the Bahamian districts of Inagua and Mayaguana. In the wake of the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, he contributed to efforts to supply tents to serve as temporary housing for the country’s displaced residents. He spends his free time skiing at world-class winter resorts in Europe, Canada, and the United States, as well as boating around The Bahamas with friends and family.
