Srinivas Anumolu

An accomplished financial software engineer with more than 20 years of relevant experience in the field, Srinivas Anumolu founded the online freelance work-matching site Elance, Inc. An enterprise software company backed by funding from Silicon Valley venture capital firm Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers LLC, Elance, Inc. has grown considerably since its founding in 1999 to employ more than 200 professionals. In his capacity at Elance, Inc., Srinivas Anumolu played a major role in all aspects of the business, including strategy development and implementation, marketing oversight, and product management. Srinivas Anumolu also applied his years of expertise in the field of computer science to design and develop the Elance, Inc. procurement software. To ensure the continuing viability of his startup company, Srinivas Anumolu convened with numerous venture capital firms and technology industry leaders. Before joining Elance, Inc., Srinivas Anumolu served as a Director with the New York Life Insurance Company, the largest mutual life insurance company in the United States. In this role, Srinivas Anumolu directly oversaw a number of multi-billion dollar fixed-income portfolios and performed security analysis of treasury, corporate, and MBS bonds. Before becoming a top-level executive with New York Life, Srinivas Anumolu worked as a Product Manager with Barra Inc., a leading financial software company. During this time, Srinivas Anumolu designed a number of fixed-income models for Barra and managed the company’s team of product managers and programmers. Srinivas Anumolu holds a Master of Business Administration from the Anderson School of Management at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). As an MBA student, Srinivas Anumolu maintained an outstanding academic record while completing Ph.D. coursework in finance, economics, statistics, and mathematics. Before enrolling at UCLA, Srinivas Anumolu earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta, where he also completed additional coursework in finance and accounting. Srinivas Anumolu earned his Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, considered one of the top undergraduate schools in the country.
