About Speedy Electric
President of Speedy Electric, Gary Fette, a South Carolina Notary Public, oversees projects at clothing stores, warehouses, gas stations, restaurants, assisted-living facilities, office buildings, and other commercial sites. The company’s clients in Myrtle Beach and elsewhere include Burger King Corporation, Starbucks Corporation, PetSmart, Inc., and FedEx Office.
In 2007, Speedy Electric donated its services to assist in making a local family’s dreams come true. Four young children lived in their grandmother’s small, deteriorating, duct-taped trailer in Longs, South Carolina, approximately 20 miles from Myrtle Beach. With the assistance of Speedy Electric of Myrtle Beach, the volunteers of Emmy Award-winning television program Extreme Makeover: Home Edition stepped in and built the family a new home, an event that changed lives.
A member of the North Carolina Association of Electrical Contractors, Myrtle Beach’s Speedy Electric also belongs to the International Association of Electrical Inspectors. Founded in 1928, the latter organization promotes “the safe use of electricity.” In addition, Speedy Electric holds membership in the National Fire Protection Association, a fire-prevention advocate and an authority on public safety. Philanthropically, Speedy Electric supports The Salvation Army, Goodwill Industries International, Inc., and the Grand Strand Humane Society in Myrtle Beach, home to more than 300 cats and dogs available for adoption.
