About Sigsbee Duck
Dr. Sigsbee Duck, M.D.
Otolaryngologist Dr. Sigsbee Duck, founder of the private practice Sagebrush Ear, Nose and Throat in Gillette, Wyoming, is a supremely talented and highly dedicated physician. Combining years of high level experience with an impressive educational resume, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has proven throughout his career that he is an exceptional leader in his field. A consummate professional, Dr. Duck’s expertise in his specialty continues to evolve through active scholarship and membership in a number of professional organizations.
Receiving his undergraduate education from Wake Forest University, Dr. Sigsbee Duck’s first degree was actually a Bachelor of Arts in French. Quickly realizing a substantial interest in medicine, Dr. Duck decided to get another Bachelor’s Degree, this time a BS from the Mercer University School of Pharmacy where he graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors. From here, Dr. Sigsbee Duck decided he wanted to pursue full-time medical education, enrolling in the East Carolina University School of Medicine.
Receiving an MD from East Carolina University in 1981, Dr. Sigsbee Duck next took up a general surgery internship at University of Kentucky Medical Center and followed that with a four year residency at Emory University in Atlanta, serving as chief resident in 1986. Working in the private practice of otolaryngology since that time, Sigsbee Duck, M.D., most recently worked at Sagebrush Ear, Nose, and Throat, until he sold this practice in July, 2008. He will begin working for the Pinehurst Surgical Clinic in Pinehurst, N.C., December 1, 2008.
A leader among his peers, Dr. Duck has had several professional papers published in the Laryngoscope, the official journal of the Triological Society, and has served as Vice President of the Western Section of that organization. Additionally, Dr. Sigsbee Duck has served as an important member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy (AAOA), the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), and as former president of the Wyoming Ear, Nose, and Throat Society.
