My company Health Through Massage exists to help raise awareness of the way massage can be affordable, easy and effective for everyone to treat aches and pains and general muscle issues. At the present, people are either seeking the assistance of therapists which can be costly and they can face long waiting times for treatment. This, combined with a general distrust of alternative therapy is what I believe to be the reason why people are not helping themselves as much as they could. Money and time is instead being invested in conventional treatment using drugs which may be a quick fix for pain but ultimately won't eliminate a muscle related problem.
I am a Malaysian who came to the UK aged eighteen, thirty seven years ago, to train as a nurse and midwife tutor. Having worked for the largest corporate health institution in the country I found my way into complementary medicine after seventeen years. I started my own clinic called the Jesson Clinic in North Lancashire which has been running since 1995 to present, specialising in massage and acupuncture. I began using a hand held massage machine called the iPamper in my clinic several years ago and now, having received nothing but positive feedback from clients about the machine's effects I feel that raising awareness of it to help people treat themselves is a very worthy cause. I have produced a manual and DVD that shows you how to use the machine to treat yourself - my clients have found this very useful in addition to the iPamper thus far.
