Originally pursuing a career in marketing, Sheila Matechuk earned her degree in marketing technology from the British Columbia Institute of Technology in Vancouver, Canada. A few years later, Sheila Matechuk launched her hair salon enterprise. With a location along the San Francisco Peninsula and another in the East Bay area, Sheila Matechuk provides residents with skilled, quality hair extension services. Touting an extensive selection of hairstyles, colors, and textures, Sheila Matechuk caters to every customer's taste and budget. With 17 different hair colors and 4 textures, Sheila Matechuk can create the ideal blend for her clients. Utilizing 100% human hair, Sheila Matechuk's salon applies high-quality extensions that can easily be washed, styled, and maintained without fear of separation from natural hair. Fully aware of clients' differing budgets and needs, Sheila Matechuk employs four different methods of extension application. With temporary hair, Sheila Matechuk offers a simple way to provide longer, fuller hair that can be styled for one-time occasions such as weddings or sweet 16 parties and will last a few weeks or more. Loc Track Extensions and Goddess Integration thicken hair and are ideal for those with thinner or shorter hair. Goddess Locs is Sheila Matechuk's premier method, in which hair is specially ordered with plastic-covered nickel rings and silicon grips that minimize damage to existing hair. In addition to her Redwood City and Castro Valley salon locations, Sheila Matechuk trains prospective stylists at Sunnyvale-based Shear Magic Salon. Sheila Matechuk supports her community through scholarships for women on limited budgets and survivors of cancer. She also belongs to the American Hair Loss Council.
