Sergio Peter is a professional footballer born on October 12, 1986 in Mannheim, Germany. He began his career working through the Youth Academy at Blackburn Rovers and received his squad number in September 2004. In January 2005, Sergio Peter joined the Belgian football team Cercle Brugge on loan, and made a few appearances throughout the season. He rejoined the Blackburn Rovers the same season, signing a contract on July 7, 2005. His impressive performance in the left-midfield elevated him from the reserves to the first team of the Blackburn squad.


On January 7, 2006, Sergio Peter featured in the starting line-up of the Blackburn team for the first time the in the Football Association Challenge (FA) Cup match against Queens Park Rangers. By setting up all three goals scored in the match, Sergio Peter propelled Blackburn to 3-0 victory. He also won the Man of the Match award for his match-winning performance in this game. The 2007-08 campaign during which he scored 26 goals in a number of Premier League match, three Union of European Football Associations Cup (UEFA) and three English League Cup was his most successful season so far.


Sergio Peter has made a total of 28 club appearances in his soccer career so far, including 19 League, 3 FA Cup, 2 League Cup, and a few European events.
