About me:  I like tennis, astronomy, history, nature, walking, bicycling, health and nutrition(but not obsessively), beaches, sunsets and last but not least, the Lord.  I love the Lord!  What am I?  I am a Christian, I am a listener, a student, a social worker, a teacher and a servant of the Lord. 

 

What do I do?  Just about anything!  I read, walk, run, make friends, help poor people get empowered to help themselves, I sing, write songs and stories, I like my dogs and cats, I work on my cars, I do repairs around the house.  I do dishes.  I wash my own clothes. 

 

What do I not do?  I don't drink alcohol, I don't smoke(but I am friends with smokers), I don't swear(neither oaths nor do I use dirty words); I don't tell lies; I don't make enemies.  I have never met a person I could not like, or did not want to get to know and find common ground to share. 

 

I am just starting this page, but let me tell you what it will be about:  

 

I want you to know that I am a Friend of God in Lake County and Leesburg Florida.  I lead small, home-based groups to become friends of God, and friends of one another.  The Friends of God are well known.  Earlier Friends were depicted in the recent movie, "Amazing Grace," as they abolished slavery in England without a civil war.  We can be understood by searching for sites on the subject:  "Evangelical Friends Church," although we are not a formal church in Lake County Florida.  I also want people to link together for the following purposes:  Backyard astronomy, telescope or "star parties," tennis, and tennis instruction.  I can teach, and your first two tennis lessons are free!   Later, I will post pictures of myself and things like the antique tennis racquets I have for sale.
