About Sean Rattigan
Background:
Over 9 years experience in manufacturing, subsequent 4 years in engineering/business consultancy and electronics distribution. Over three years training experience with a strong focus on the use of I.T. in learning and e-Learning. Also delivering training/lectures in entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation (related but distinctly different fields), I.T. Specialties:
Many. Projects with a technical element. Startups. Businesses looking for ways to improve how they do business, how to take advantage of new technologies, looking for alternate suppliers, methods of production.... there are so many ways to improve a business- from upskilling staff, to changing direction, expanding geographically, utilising social media and alternate marketing channels....
I am interested in open dialogue with people that want to improve their business!
Sean Rattigan's Interests
I am particularly interested in what I call Innovativity: Innovation & Creativity. These are often confused and thought to mean the same thing but are in fact distinctly different, and both can be related to entrepreneurship... but not necessarily so.
The field of research includes aspects of business, philosophy, engineering, NLP and psychology- topics which I have a long-term interest in.
How can we create a more innovative culture? How can we stimulate the inherent creativity of staff?
If people are our greatest asset, why do so many businesses treat them as a necessary cost, instead of a reservoir of experience and ideas?
I like to keep abreast of developments in technology- not just hardwre and software but also biological discoveries, new applications of chemistry, ecological, astrological.... why seperate everything into little boxes when everything is connected? The best ideas come from cross pollination.... By mixing and matching ideas from wildly different sources great new ideas come about..... lets pollinate!
