About Scott Pyle
Scott Pyle - Professional Summary:
Scott Pyle serves as President of ABD Development, Inc., of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Along with his wife, Pamela Pyle, Scott Pyle has seen ABD Development’s mission to use real estate investment as an avenue for expanding wealth over time to use in the various ministries they are a part of. Under Scott Pyle’s leadership, ABD Development has bought and sold real estate in various forms and has developed prime subdivisions in the Myrtle Beach area, including neighborhoods such as Black Creek Plantation, Briarcliff Commons, the International Club, Cypress Keyes, and others. As an example, ABD Development purchased The International Club neighborhood alongside other partners while it was struggling to get off the ground in the late 1990s. After a full redesign of the neighborhood and Championship 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, Scott Pyle brought other builder/developers into the neighborhood to see the vision through. Scott Pyle of Myrtle Beach helped coordinate these local and national builders to deliver homes in the neighborhood from the $125,000 to $425,000 range. At the other end of the scale, Black Creek Plantation’s homes range from $425,000 to $2,500,000, with home sites that can vary in size from 1 acre to 10 acres.
Scott Pyle has teamed up with Mark Talbot to bring about the vision and fulfillment of this one-of-a-kind neighborhood in Myrtle Beach. Scott Pyle has been engaged with many ministries, charities, and faith-based organizations. Through African New Life Ministries, Scott and Pamela Pyle have been able to make inroads in the fight against poverty in Rwanda. Scott and Pamela will continue to lead medical teams from Myrtle Beach and across the United Sstates to Rwanda in the years to come. Traveling to the country for hands-on experience, the couple worked with a medical mission team and the ministry to purchase land next to the dream center in Kigali, which is the site of the medical clinic they seek to build for homeless children. Scott and Pamela are engaged in efforts to restore water quality in rural villages and work to help the villagers understand the importance of their own hygiene for health reasons. Pamela and Scott Pyle have now identified a water mission ministry that is capable of providing a water treatment system for the entire village of Kageyo, Rwanda. We will be raising $25,000 for the village water evaluation, the water treatment system and delivery of the system with setup and training of the villagers. This ministry has provided a process that would otherwise cost some $75,000 or more. We are very excited about God leading us in a direction to be part of a team that will be able to give treated water to over 4000 people in the village. This moving, fulfilling experience increased their commitment to causes at home, as well. Scott Pyle now serves as a board member with Market Life Ministries, where he also served as Chairman of the Board for over four years. Market Life holds weekly bible studies at Rioz, just off of 21st Avenue in Myrtle Beach every Thursday at 12 noon. Over 100 men come to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ weekly at this location. Pamela Pyle volunteers her time to the Friendship Clinic where she serves as an internal medicine doctor.
In addition to his responsibilities at ABD Development, Scott Pyle also works as Asset Allocation Manager of the Southeast Real Estate Asset Fund, an equity fund that deals in troubled and nonperforming properties in the southeastern United States. Scott Pyle is a 1989 graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration. He is also a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity.
Since being saved by Christ in 1993, Scott and Pamela have tried to live according to the book of Malachi in regard to finances and the parable of the talents. They desire to be all that God has made them to be and they continue to believe they have the opportunity to grow so that they may give as Christ teaches.
