About Scott Mallick

Scott Mallick’s Mayan Islands resort includes luxury vacation homes and plentiful opportunities for visitors to explore the natural beauty of Belize. What sets Mallick’s vision apart is his drive to improve the area he is developing by helping its residents to establish a stake in its booming tourist industry. At present, Scott Mallick plans to pass ownership of Mayan Islands to the government of the island town of San Pedro near the resort. Scott Mallick believes that in the long term, the resort will help the town derive income to supplement its traditional exports of fish, coconuts, and chicle.

Mayan Islands sits off the coast of Ambergris Caye, a Caribbean island that is part of the Central American country Belize. Scott Mallick’s venture includes plans to benefit the island as well as its people. With provisions for solar- and wind-derived energy, Mayan Islands will promote green habits as it provides guests with Caribbean luxury. Such insistence on excellence is typical of Scott Mallick’s work. To design Mayan Islands’ buildings, he enlisted Kobi Karp, a world-renowned architect with experience in residential, commercial, and hospitality design.

In addition to the Mayan Islands project, Scott Mallick owns the rights to Quintessentially, a concierge service for luxury products and services. Quintessentially bills itself as a service for those who require the best in all areas of life. Most Mayan Islands investors put themselves into that category. One backer described Scott Mallick as the right man to lead the ambitious Mayan Islands endeavor. Another called his optimism infectious and praised him for his smart leadership during a global economic downturn.

Much of the success Mayan Islands has enjoyed so far can be attributed to Scott Mallick’s leadership. He chose to build his resort in a location that boasts the world’s second largest barrier reef as well as excellent boating, fishing, snorkeling, and diving for tourists who enjoy the outdoors.
