About Scott Cathcart

Scott Cathcart brings an innovative, technology-centric product development approach to Veristeel, the company he founded in 2004. Emphasizing that environmentally friendly products must perform on the same level with their conventional competitors, Scott Cathcart has been a pioneer in the introduction of high quality, sustainable solutions for the modular building industry.

In 2006-2007, Scott Cathcart drove the launch of Veristeel’s patented VeriClad panels, an insulated, environmentally-friendly, steel-skinned composite structural panel that delivers the strength of concrete, without the weight. In 2008-2009, Scott Cathcart led the development of the revolutionary RD FlexMod structural frame system, a patent-pending product now produced in partnership with Maersk that is designed to become the world’s first standardized structural platform for high quality modular buildings that are transportable by land, sea, rail and air. In a recent article quoting Scott Cathcart, the Modular Building Institute called Veristeel “a business built with sustainability in mind.”

A graduate of the University of Virginia, Scott Cathcart embarked on his professional career as an advertising executive in New York City. Scott Cathcart was a vital member of national and international campaigns for the Gillette SensorExcel, and Scott crafted the multi-national positioning platform for the Gillette Mach3.

Scott Cathcart currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, with his wife, Whitney Cathcart. An avid runner, Scott Cathcart has completed a number of marathons in New York City, Boston, and San Francisco, and Scott has completed numerous triathlons including the Escape from Alcatraz.
