Academic Qualification:


  • Till date continuing Ph.D in Agril. Extension in Deptt. Of Extension Education, College of Agriculture, O.U.A.T, Bhubaneswar. (Only thesis submission left) 


  • Masters’ Degree in Agricultural Extension from Dr. B.R.Ambedkar University, AGRA (2004-06).


  • Bachelors’ Degree in Agriculture from Dr. B.R.Ambedkar University, AGRA (2000-04).


  • Intermediate Agriculture from Board of High School & Intermediate Education, Uttar Pradesh, Allahabad (1998-2000).


  • Basic knowledge of Computer Packages namely Microsoft Office, Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) & SYSTAT. 


Research Area of Interest:



  • ·         Contract Farming, Agricultural Extension & Rural Development, Gender Issues.




Previous Experiences:                                         



  • Appointed as a Research Associate in Visioning, Policy analysis and Gender (V-PAGe) under National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP) from 29th April ’08 to till 6th April 2010 at Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture (DRWA) ICAR, Opp- Kalinga Studio, Baramunda, Bhubaneswar-3. During this period I was involved in conducting field studies, report preparation, organizing sensitization programmes, training & workshops and documentation.
  • During April – May, 2009 worked as a Field Assistant for a Research Scholar from School of Agriculture, Policy and Development, University of Reading, United Kingdom.
  • Appointed as a Surveyor/ Data Enumerator from 12th April ’07 to 10th June ‘07 for collection of data for “Study on Socio-Economic Implications of GI Registration for Agricultural & Non-agricultural Commodities/ Products covering Eastern, North-Eastern & Northern Regions of India” conducted by National Academy of Agricultural Research Management (NAARM), Hyderabad.
  • Appointed as a Briksha Mitra under a joint venture programme of Green Cross Society an NGO and Institute of Social Science of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University, Agra from 8th January, 2007 to 8th March 2007 at Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh.
  • Appointed as a Surveyor from 22nd May ’06 to 30th July ‘06 for collection of data in “Study on Reproductive and Child Health & Family Planning in Agra and Kanpur Nagar districts of Uttar Pradesh to understand the reach and effectiveness of various health programmes in the State” conducted by Futures Group, I-D II, Park wood Estate, Rao Tularam Marg, New Delhi-22.


Present Experience:


Resently working as a Subject Matter Specialist (Agril. Extension Scientist) at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malkangiri under Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, Bhubaneswar, Odisha from 8th April 2010 till date.

The Directorate of Research on Women in Agriculture is mandated to address the gender issues though technology refinement, farming system development, extension approach and capacity building of stakeholders in a gender perspective through basic, applied and strategic research, for gender equity is basic to achieving food and nutritional security.
