Perform minimally invasive procedures using imaging technology (x-ray cameras, ultrasound, and cat scan) and specialized tools (catheters, balloons, stents, filters, embolization particles/coils and micro devices) on inpatients and outpatients. These procedures include angioplasty, stent placement, diagnostic procedures, thrombolysis, embolization, kyphoplasty, percutaneous drainage, dialysis access maintanence work, pain management, device placement, biopsies, percutaneous feeding tube, central venous access, trauma, and interventional oncologic procedures. These procedures were typically performed in the arterial, venous, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, hepatobiliary, and pulmonary systems of the body as well as the axial skeleton, subcutaneous tissues, joint, pleural, and peritoneal spaces. These procedures overlap considerably with the fields of vascular surgery, nephrology, pulmonology/ critical care, gastrointestinal medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, oncology, and general surgery.
