Samuel Ahn - Professional Summary: With more than 25 years of experience in the field of vascular surgery, Dr. Samuel Ahn maintains affiliations with numerous medical centers in Texas and California. In addition to his long-standing association with the University of California, Los Angeles, Medical Center, Dr. Ahn is affiliated with Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, and SM-UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica. He also holds an Attending Surgeon affiliation with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
From 1999 to 2006, Dr. Samuel Ahn served concurrently as Professor of Surgery and as Director of Endovascular Surgery Division of Vascular Surgery at the UCLA School of Medicine. Prior to these appointments, Dr. Ahn was Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery from 1993 to 1998. During this period, he also held a position as Attending Surgeon and Chief of Vascular Surgery Section at Olive View Medical Center in Sylmar, California.
In 2006, Dr. Samuel Ahn founded University Vascular Associates in Los Angeles, California. In 2007, Dr. Ahn and a partner founded the DFW Vascular Group in Dallas, Texas. Both practices seek to provide minimally invasive vascular surgical procedures, often on an outpatient basis, to patients in the Southern California and North Texas region. UVA and DFW specialize in treating patients suffering from peripheral vascular diseases, thoracic aortic aneurysms, carotid artery disease, atherosclerosis, venous diseases, abdominal aortic aneurisms, and deep vein thrombosis.
Having authored 15 patents and served as a consultant to more than 40 biomedical concerns, Dr. Samuel Ahn enjoys a respected reputation in his field. For 13 straight years, since 1997, Dr. Ahn has been named one of the best doctors in Los Angeles by Los Angeles Magazine. In addition, Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. designated him one of America’s Top Doctors for the years 2001, 2002, and 2005. The Guide to America’s Top Surgeons also included Dr. Ahn on its list of America’s Top Surgeons for the years 2004 to 2005.
