A college student displaying versatile potential, Samuel A. Shushtari has a strong interest in the arts. Of late, Mr. Shushtari has taken an interest in the culinary arts; he is learning how to cook and bake and has a particular interest in making pastries. With his parents’ estate in Hartford, Connecticut, the James Thrall Soby Estate, undergoing renovations, Samuel A. Shushtari has been helping around the house in a variety of ways, performing tasks from electrical work to carpentry, plumbing, and painting.

Samuel A. Shushtari enjoys painting and creates various acrylic works at an amateur level. Mr. Shushtari draws inspiration from his home in Connecticut, which was originally owned by leading art critic James Thrall Soby. A committee member of the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, Mr. Soby developed one of the most prolific art collections in the United States. The estate retains many aspects of Mr. Soby’s life, thus exposing Mr. Shushtari to art at an early age.

Alongside painting, Samuel A. Shushtari also enjoys playing music. Rarely seen without a guitar, he plays regularly and performs in various rock bands as both guitarist and vocalist. He also enjoys recording his own music using software like GarageBand from Apple Inc.. In addition, Mr. Shushtari is an avid fan of the art of filmmaking and currently studies this subject as his major at the College of Communication at Boston University. When he is not pursuing the arts, he plays a variety of sports, including squash and golf.
